  INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS

  Requirements for article submission

Step 1

The author submits an electronic version of the article prepared according to the indicated requirements (see below) in the Lithuanian, Russian or English languages by e-mail mokytojuugdymas@ef.su.lt and the copy of  the receipt of the article administration fee to the editorial board. Onetime fee for article administration for foreign scientists is 50 Euros*.

The fee does not guarantee that the article will be accepted for printing: it can be not recommended to be printed if it does not correspond to the requirements for the scientific article, which are noted by reviewers. The article can be submitted for repeated review twice at most. If the article is accepted for printing, the fee ensures that one copy of the journal will be sent to the authors of the article.  The article is printed in the publication given ISSN 1822-119X and placed in data bases and, seeking citation, full text is placed in the open on-line access.

  Data for payment:

  Account number: LT507300010130409060

If the author pays himself: address, name, surname, purpose of payment (one-time fee for the preparation of an article Teacher Education).

Step 2

The articles are published in Lithuanian-English, Russian-English or English-Lithuanian languages.

Upon positive evaluation of reviewers the authors  submit the edited article to the editorial board in two languages: Lithuanian-English or Russian-English. In case of poor quality of translation or editing the articles will not be published and the administrative fee will not be returned.

Authors of foreign countries who wish to translate the article in Lithuania and publish it in  Lithuanian-English languages pay additional fee for its translation according to the tariffs valid at that time in Lithuania.   Authors are informed about the amount of the fee and details individually in a separate message.

Summary

The quality of your summary determines whether the reader will choose to read the article. Due to this reason you have to describe the scientific problem, research methods and main results of your article in about 400 characters.

  • The summary has to precisely reflect the article;

  • The summary has to be autonomous, without abbreviations,  footnotes or incomplete references;

  • The authors must include key words in the summary because this will help the readers. Key words/phrases have to be related to the summary.

Try to give at most up to five different key words or phrases and avoid repetition because this can cause inconveniences for the reader, searching for information in search engines.

  • Check if the summary is easy to read

  • Check if requirements for the journal  correspond to the requirements for the  summary, otherwise it will be edited.

  • The summary is submitted in the language in which the article is written.

Evaluation of the article

  • Academic reviewing of articles is a process when the submitted scientific research is assessed and commented by independent experts working in the same scientific area.

  • Reviewers present their remarks and conclusions to the editorial board of the journal. Reviewers are usually not paid for this work but their aim is to take part in the process, which would ensure publication of high quality articles in their scientific area.

  • The article is presented for the reviewer without information identifying the person; i.e., the author’s name, surname, place of work, institution of scientific researches are hidden.

  • The article is assessed by two reviewers. Considering the reviewers and editors’ comments, the author corrects the article or gives reasoned explanations why they were not considered.

  • The electronic form of the corrected article is submitted to the editorial board not later than two weeks after receiving the review. If the article is not received on time, it is eliminated from the queue of articles to be published and the administrative fee is not returned.

Articles are submitted to the editorial board of “Mokytojų ugdymas / Teacher Education” at the address: P.Višinskio St. 25-420, LT-76351 Šiauliai, Lithuania, phone: 8(41) 595-713, e-mail: mokytojuugdymas@ef.su.lt
